Playbook: onboard a client
The master checklist from signed client to fully managed.
The end-to-end checklist. Sub-playbooks are linked where steps have depth. A step is done when verified in production, not before.
- Port the site(s). Port a site. Result: repo, Vercel project, tracked in Umami, approved in the console.
- Verify content editing. Open the site in the console, confirm pages load in the AI Editor, and migrate/create collections for anything the client will edit (events, team, testimonials). Name the fields properly.
- DNS cutover when the client approves. DNS cutover.
- Forms. With client approval, use Route forms to Backpack in the site’s Forms tab (Forms); after verifying a live submission, the Webflow project can be retired.
- Analytics. Confirm the site row on /analytics resolves and the dashboard link works. Umami tracking.
- Services as sold: inbox (iese), newsletters (Listmonk instance per large client, newsletter playbook), social (Postiz workspace).
- Money. Client set up in QuickBooks with recurring hosting/retainer invoice.
- Deliver. Send the client the console URL and the live site link. Finished work ends with the live link.
